Thank You
Thank you for joining me at the installation. It was great to have so many people interested in the project. If you have photographs of the project, could you please send them to me or let me know if you post them online. I'll add a few of my own in the next few days.

See You There

  A Note:
Over the last week, I have been inviting friends, colleagues, and and their friends to visit the installation this weekend. This has been a great process for me. I am totally filled up with first reactions. The responses are as diverse as the people, ranging from seasoned art analyzers, to bored Ithacans, and naked strangers in the locker room. I'm usually not short of words, but it can be difficult to convince someone that visual art is meant to be seen. Then adding that art can not only be seen but also drawn is sometimes too far. I hope that you have received your invitation and that if you get a chance to visit the installation that you will be surprised by what you discover and what you draw.  I am looking forward to what I will discover through this work.

If you have not received your invitation, please email me. Also, we do have some lodging available for out of town visitors.

Get ready...Puzzle Scramblers are being mailed and passed out to invite people to the installation. For this installation, I am asking audience members to take the time to draw it. Along with my video and photography, the participants' drawings will document the changes to the installation.

The drawing on the puzzle is based on the drawing I have made for the barn. I will enlarge this drawing to the same scale as the barn,  print it in copy paper, and hang it on the facade of the barn. During the installation, you are invited to come watch as the drawing hangs and the papers are destroyed. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Seeking Volunteers
I am currently looking for volunteers to assist with the upcoming public project by helping install the paper and facilitating the drawing event. Please email me if you are interested or would like more information.

I've been working on the drawing of the barn that will be used to cover the built barn.
Let me know if you successfully put the slider puzzle together (without hints) and how long it took. I'll announce the winner on June 7th.

The current leader completed the online puzzle in 54 seconds with 116 moves.

14 June 2008
You are invited to experience the next time-based drawing by Karen Brummund.

On Saturday, June 14, 2008, Karen will hang her drawing of the barn on the barn. Then you are invited to draw the installation on Sunday, June 15, 2008. Your scribbles, line drawings, and sketches will record how many sheets of paper are left. The drawings will be collected and integrated in to Karen's project.

If you have any questions please email.
